| Models: GSA-102 Cassette version GSA-103 Compact Disc version About: A second generation of an 26- year instrument concept that utilizes the conventional two syllable, spondaic, words in conjunction with a picture board. The child or patient is instructed to point to the appropriate picture depicting the test word stimuli; e.g. "Point to the firetruck." These instructions are presented in a calibrated format through an earphone. Each ear is tested individually. The patient passes the screening test by correctly pointing to the picture 2 out of 3 (or majority) times at soft hearing levels; e.g. 20 dBHTL. Spanish test word sequences are also included on the disc. In addition to the popular word test, the select picture audiometer can perform a pure tone screening test. The test tracks are readily accessible on the single test disc. The "point to" task now includes a big bird; i.e. point to the big bird when you hear the bird sing". The test stimuli include your selection of four warbled test tones: 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 Hz. This test is also very adaptable to patient limitations and local test guidlines and protocols.
